Holly Tippetts

Holly is very inspired my nature when we travel, especially trees and flowers. She is obsessed with texture and intense color. She has been a watercolorist since the age of 16 but loves rich highly textured acrylic work in the past decade. Holly loves to paint with a credit card or knife to stay loose and unexpected in her watercolors. She particularly thinks the unexpected parts are amazing and fun!

She graduated from SUU with a BA in fine arts in 1989. The next 26 years would be primarily focused on raising kids. Holly did commission work wherever my family moved to, including commissions in Germany where her husband had a military assignment. She is excited to focus on making beautiful and meaningful art.
