Justin Price

Justin Price was born in Boulder, Colorado, an environment rife with inspiration. From walking on Pearl Street filled with all the flavors of human you could find, to wandering the mountains, needing to reach the top and get the views no one else had seen. Inspired to travel the country in search of the next great experience this took him from Alaska to Florida and all the places in-between. Always filled with a need to create. Anything from drawing people’s tee shirts in class, when he should have been studying, to college for graphic design, where his teachers told him he was too far outside of the box. To which his answer was always, “there is a box?” Drawn to the more abstract forms of art which allowed him to set aside his perfectionist nature or at least find a balance for it with the medium itself. After the paint is chosen, the colors are mixed, the method of the pour is decided. Nature and chaos take over and while adjustments can be made in the stretching, control is only found when you say, don’t like it and swipe the paint off the canvas onto the floor to paint it all again.
